If you’re looking for a “green friendly” reasonably priced, well designed and modern styled home? Then you might want to check-out the home designs of GreenModernKits.com. The site features two designs, the Casa ti which was created by Architect David Day and the R1 Residential by Grace Street. Both homes are kit design plans that are locally constructed out of SIPs (Structurally Insulated Panels) and deliver to your site where you’re responsible for pulling it all together. The homes are design to maximize passive solar design and are geared towards fans of the modern aesthetic with a middle class budget.  Personally, I’m partial to the R1 Residential’s design and slightly bigger footprint, but both designs are well done and definitely appealing.
