Mid-Century Modern Resource

MidCenturyMod

I found this great site about Mid-Century modern architecture from one of my designers, who was researching the period for another project. The entry that caught my eye was one featuring a Lake Forest, Ill 1960’s home, by a relatively unknown architect, Jack Viks (apparently an understudy of Mies Van Der Rohe). The cantilevered designed and glass walls, is certainly reflected of Van Der Rohe’s work, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case. Anyhow, you can see more of the house at the original site MidCentury Architecture. I’m adding the site to my list of favorites, somthing you might want to do as well.
