Do-it-Yourself Furniture Plans
Lets face it, a large percentage of people who are looking for furniture solutions for their home are either individuals or young families who don’t necessarily have an exorbitant amount of cash to spend on all the little items they need. As a result we’ve seen a rise in low cost, flat pack, some assembly required furniture solutions from companies like IKEA and CB2. What you get in most cases are relatively well designed pieces made of low to mid quality materials, that may or may not assemble easily or well. SO why not try and build some of these little pieces yourself using better materials? Most likely you lack the tools, plans or even the initial wherewithal to get started—well that obstacle may not be an issue any longer. A good friend of mine shared this blog with me called knockoffwood.blogspot.com that offers modified design plans of high-end products. The creator is a stay at home mom from Alaska whose passion for furniture design has lead her to create this site, and some really nice plan options designed in a way that the average person can actually resource and build them.
